SIDE A
Dorm Room Jake
While procrastinating studying for finals today, I decided to make a sofa shop cover. It started as just a finger-style guitar song, but I had too much fun adding other instruments along the way. The acoustics in my dorm room are not good by any standard (note the computer fan in the background), but it turned out better than expected overall. Jake
Macedonian
My partner (Emilija) has covered the sofa shop in Macedonian, they are from North Macedonia and they think it is their best work. Samuel
Funky
I haven’t heard many funky sofa shop covers, so thought I’d have a crack. Especially after a lovely moment getting excited at work gardening with Jevon when you played his wonderful ‘Sofa Wars’ cover. Sam
Trap
I have produced a trap remix of the jingle but I wouldn't be surprised if neither of you know what trap is at all. Trap is a style of hip hop that has become insanely popular in the past few years and now almost everything imaginable has a trap remix on YouTube so I thought I'd try my hand. Steve
Genesis-style
Philip Moriarty and I have recorded a Sofa Shop cover in the style of Genesis/Phil Collins because we could. Philip did the guitar work and backing vocals. Alan Stewart
Ye Olde Georgian
Over the past few months I have been trying to help my 15 year old son with his GCSE music. Although I play various instruments I never did much music history at school, so this has been an education for me as well as Jacob. Recently he has been telling me about the Baroque musical style, so when you did your feature on the Sofa Shop I felt we should have a go. Stuart
Indie Folk
I made a bleeding heart indie folk cover of the Sofa Shop jingle. I was inspired by the Sufjan Stevens style cover and decided to pay homage to a musical idol of mine, namely Fleet Foxes. Stephen
Sonata
Here is my attempt at the Sofa Shop jingle in the style of an 18th-century sonata! I thought it would be hilarious trying to melt the jingle into a totally anachronistic and serious-sounding style. Chenyang Xu
Dutch
There is a rumour going around, I don't know if it's true, but it is said that Tim's dad might be of Dutch descent. I've wanted to contribute to the Sofa Shop cover madness for a while now, so I thought that, since I'm Dutch, I could honour Tim's heritage by making a cover in my beautiful native language! Jacyra
Piano Man
I'm a Taiwanese Australian from the city of Brady's favourite bridge (I actually used to do maintenance work on it). I'm an amateur musician and here's my Piano Man cover of The Sofa Shop jingle. Unlike the original duet, this is a solo. Derek
Kenneth's Acoustic
I study songwriting and production at LIPA in Liverpool, however I'm actually from Norway. I thought I'd try my hand at tackling the daunting task that is a cover of the sofa shop jingle. So here is my fairly simple acoustic contribution. Kenneth
Sofa Wars
After hearing the fantastically high calibre of the entries so far, I decided to take inspiration from a film franchise that I think we are all particularly fond of. Jevon
Jazzy
I’ve put together a jazzy version, inspired by my time spent as the pianist for a Big Band. Ollie
Bob Dylan Style
Massive fan of the podcast. I found this old version of Bob Dylan covering the sofa shop song, hope you enjoy it. Alf

90s Dance
I've heeded your calls for a more techno-inspired rendition of the Sofa Shop jingle and created this 90s/Naughties electronic dance throwback tune, complete with tacky synths and shameless techno build-ups. Billy
8-Bit Joe
I first started making music several years ago with simple square wave synths in this style, so how could I resist stepping up to this challenge? It felt like going back to my roots. Joe
Peaceful Flute
I’m not sure if anyone has made an arrangement in waltz time yet, so I went with that. Naomi
Country
Here's my country version of the sofa shop. Chip Endale IV
Rock Style
At first I was a bit intimidated covering such a monumental anthem, but after hearing the fan covers of The Sofa Shop I couldn't help but share my take of the song. So here is a rock style cover of the tune. Matt
Honest Instrumental
I hereby formally submit my own interpretation of the "golden melody" to the archive: A simple and honest instrumental which I hope captures the gravitas and emotional nuance of the original 1990s recording. James
Sofa Drop
I made a piano cover of the Sofa Shop’s ad jingle. It’s converted to a minor scale, so it is a bit sadder than the original. This is also the reason why I named my cover “The Sofa Drop”. (It’s the final stop for the sofa, indeed!) I dedicate it to all the sofas that have been abandoned or otherwise lost. Han

SIDE B
8-Bit Zane
I had a spare afternoon so I decided to try my hand at making an 8-bit version of The Sofa Shop. Zane
Chase Long
I was digging around in the basement and I found a dusty old cassette of the original extended cut of the Unmade Podcast theme tune. (Presumably it was cut short for copyright reasons and crimes against musicality). Chase Long
INXS Style
Huge fan of the podcast and even though I'm from Missouri in the US I do enjoy several Australian bands so I figured I'd use GarageBand on my iPad to try and make an INXS style cover of the Sofa Shop jingle. Emperor Tigerstar
Greek
While listening to the sofa shop reunion episode I picked up my guitar and fiddled along with Tim and Quentin. An hour later, I present to you the Greek translation of the sofa shop jingle. Yannis
Anthem
I was bored and had nothing to do for a couple of hours so I made this. If the rest of this week proves equally unproductive, I may do some other sofa-related gubbins. This probably wasn't what you meant by an "anthemic" version of the sofa shop tune, but here it is anyways. James
Fairground
I decided to try out another take on the Sofa Shop theme, by tinkering with the time signature. The original is in 4/4 time (4 beats in a bar, like most rock music) so I thought I'd see what happened if I put it into 6/8, using a fairground organ feel. Stuart
Into My Arm(chairs)s
A new hit version of the Sofa Shop by Nick Cave and the Good Seats. 'Into my Arm(chair)s' is a new, lyrically improved version of Nick Cave's song Into My Arms. Nick Cave and the Good Seats
Colonel Lucy
I know you've had a few sombre acousticy versions, but not so many from women so thought I'd still give it a shot :) I get embarrassed singing so had to wait and record this when both of my housemates were out, which was considerably difficult given the lockdown sitch here in the UK, but I squeezed it in. Lucy
Jazz Reharmonization
I made a jazz version of the sofa shop. It is a reharmonization of the original, where the chords are different but the melody is the same. Adam
Couchwerk
The title says it all: I got inspired to make a Kraftwerk-themed cover. VISOR5000
Metal Sam
These other sofa shop covers have been good, but they were lacking a bit of punch. I felt it was only right to turn my amp up to 11 and let the world hear the true power of the sofa shop jingle. If this doesn’t get you hyped up for some furniture shopping then nothing will! Guitars and bass recorded by me, drums were done electronically. Sam
Pennyfax Street
I was digging through my own Dad's cassette tape collection and found this old relic. It seems to be an early demo of the Beatles' Penny Lane, but with different lyrics. Joe
Smells Like Real Leather
Here is my contribution to the growing anthology of Sofa Shop covers. I've named it Smells Like Real Leather for reasons which will hopefully become obvious upon listening. Given Tim's love of 90s music I hope that this cover version (and its, admittedly dodgy, titular pun) are both to his satisfaction. Ben

Sofa Shop Inception
I occasionally make Orchestral and Electronic music for things like youtube videos or video games. I've been catching up on the podcast, listening to everyone's submissions and thought there was a lack Sofa Shop in the style of film score, especially Hans Zimmer. Matt
90s House
As I am actually not really listening to your podcasts (I'm sorry), but my girlfriend, Hilde, is, I often hear the Sofa Shop in the house in a lot of variations. I asked her what it is about and she told me all about the podcast. As I couldn't get the tune out of my head anymore, I decided to make one of my own, just for the fun. Jordy
Sofacapella
Hopefully it's not too cheeky to send another sofa shop cover in. I kept it short this time! Ben
Sunrise Symphony
As I was watching the sunrise this morning, I felt the urge to hear the sofa shop jingle, so I decided to throw together a stereotypical 'morning symphony' cover. Scott
Prog Rock
I’ve not gone full-blown concept album just yet but I wanted to capture some of the pomposity of the best of prog in this “re-imagining” of the jingle. Prof Phil Moriarty
Sufjan
Sufjan Stevens is one of my favorite musicians, so it was really fun trying to emulate his style. Here's my rendition of a Sufjan-esque cover. Han
Techno
I am answering Brady's call for techno versions of the Sofa Shop jingle, I hope my humble submission will be worthy of your time. I am an electrical engineer by day but making electronic music is my hobby and I thoroughly enjoyed making this masterpiece. Rob
The Slaughter Shop
I have been playing guitar & bass for 20 years, and have been in many extreme metal bands here in South Africa. Damian
Sultans of Sofa
I’m no singer, but neither is Mark Knopfler, so I guess my try will suffice. Theo
